Renewable Energy Space Analytics Tool

Product by University of Reading: Institute for Environmental Analytics

The Renewable Energy Space Analytics Tool (RE-SAT) is a renewable energy analytics platform to support governments, utilities, investors and other stakeholders in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in their transition from fossil fuel electricity generation to renewables. RE-SAT allows planners to simulate energy mixes with varying penetrations of renewable energy sources. The platform enables users to analyse and quantify the energy generation capacity of different deployments of intermittent renewables (e.g. solar, wind, wave), to maximise the impact of investment, reduce financial risk and reduce exposure to volatile fossil fuel markets.
